LOOKING TO ADOPT ONE OF OUR PUPPIES?
We strive to make the adoption process as easy on you and the puppies as possible. Buyers often have their mind set on a particular gender, color, or look. We will try our hardest to match you with your perfect puppy, but we also ask you to think carefully about what you are looking for with respect to the dog's personality. We are confident that whichever dog you choose, it will be an exceptional one.
Dennett's Doodles reserves the right to hold back puppies from any litter to be part of our breeding program. Our name will be placed on the top of each reservation list, and if we decide not to keep one, then each person on the reservation list will be bumped up.
Steps To Adoption
Step 1: You can fill out our general application here or fill out our financing application here.
Step 2: Place a $500 deposit. You can select the PayPal "Buy Now" button to make your deposit or make your deposit using Venmo @Troy-Dennett-1 or Zelle 435-619-4488.
Please note that if you choose not to purchase a puppy from Dennett's Doodles after having made the deposit and prior to selecting your puppy when they reach 4 weeks of age there will be a 30% cancellation fee. Once you have chosen your puppy the $500 deposit is non-refundable. If emergency circumstances arise that would prevent you from being able to get your puppy, you may also choose to transfer your deposit to a future litter rather than cancel your reservation.
Step 3: Fill out and return your Puppy Contract. Once you’ve paid the deposit, we will send you an e-mail with our Puppy Contract for you to complete and return. If you are wanting to do our financing/payment plan, we will need some information and both the puppy contract and financing contract will be sent to you. We will also communicate with you to make sure we have all of your contact information for our records.
Step 4: Puppy Selection & Balance Due. When the puppies are between 4 and 5 weeks old, we will contact you to choose your puppy. (This will be in the order that deposits were made.) Payment in full is expected when you receive your puppy. Final payments for the balance due are preferred in cash and not electronic payments.
Step 5: Plan for Pick Up or Delivery. Make plans with us on how you would like to receive your puppy when they are 8 weeks old. If you cannot receive your puppy when it is 8 weeks old, you can arrange to have us keep it a little longer if needed. The cost to hold a puppy is $50 per week for each week past the age of 8 weeks.
Delivery Options:
1. You may pick up your puppy at our home in Southern Utah. If you choose this option, please reach out to us to arrange the date and time.
2. We deliver to Las Vegas for free, whether you live there or want to meet at the Las Vegas airport. (Las Vegas delivery on our installment plan is $150.) We can also deliver to Salt Lake City. Please reach out to set up a day and time.
3. Flying in? The least expensive option is to fly into the Las Vegas airport with an in-cabin carrier, and we'll hand off your puppy there at no extra cost. Or one of our flight nannies can fly your puppy in the cabin to your nearest major airport anywhere in the continental US, typically about $650.
4. Arizona and California: we set delivery dates to Surprise, AZ and Fontana, CA. Delivery is free when more than one puppy is on the trip; otherwise a special trip is about $250, depending on the date and location. Reach out and we'll set a date.
Step 6: Prepare. Stay updated and prepare your home for your new arrival.
We recommend that you have the following items prior to your puppies arrival:
* A doggie door and a cozy bed. Your puppy goes home doggie-door trained!
* A collar, leash, and ID tag.
* Puppy shampoo and brush.
* Puppy Food
* Plenty of chew toys!
* Bowls for food and water.
* Clean up spray for accidents
Step 7: Puppy Go Home Day! When your puppy is 8 weeks old they are ready to go to your home as a loving new addition to the family. Whether you plan to pick up your puppy or have it delivered, your new family member will provide all the sweet puppy perks for you to enjoy!
